Clarify the Special Investigations Committee Charter. Clarify what is a voting member vs. a visitor.
Work within the guidelines set forth by the Directors’ Association. Begin work on setting
the short term and long term roles of the committee. Become
more structured and strategic within the committee. Become PRO-ACTIVE.

General Information for Dissemination:
Seven counties approved for under $125.00 threshold claim for Food Stamps. These Are Alamance, Burke, Hoke, Iredell, Martin, Montgomery and Washington.
Wilbert Morris spoke about the new EBT contract with Efunds effective 05/01/03. The rate will be $1.65 per case per month vs. $2.31 with Citibank. Training for counties will be around March 2003.
Group advised to have letters as voting members by next meeting (either NCSSA or Director appointee). Glenn Osborne spoke to the group regarding the Director’s Association and the committees. He explained the procedures for voting and non-voting members.He explained the committee charter to the group and the purpose for setting goals and developing guidelines and implementing goals and strategies.
