SCOPE OF WORK

 

 

 

COMMITTEE NAME:   CHILD SUPPORT

 

 

ROLE OF COMMITTEE:

 

To provide policy guidance and advocacy for families who need child support services. The Committee also implements goals and strategies from the NCACDSS Strategic Plan as appropriate to the Committee’s scope of work or as assigned by the President.

 

Short Term Goals or Objectives  

•  To maintain effective collaboration with the State Child Support Agency in order to ensure active participation with the Committee.

•  To seek means of opportunities to integrate the child support program with other service delivery programs in the areas of policy, information systems, and procedural vantage points.

•  To work with the State to establish an effective method to evaluate and report local agency Performance to the Legislature.

•  Support State Child Support in their efforts to protect confidential Child Support information.

•  To submit a written report of the Committee’s work at the annual meeting of NCACDSS.

 

Long Range Goals or Objectives

 

A. To work with the State to establish an effective method to evaluate and report local agency

performance.

B. To seek ways to incorporate Child Support services into a family centered model of service

delivery.

C. To work with the State to establish an effective public relations initiative related to Child

support.                   

D. To support the goal of every child in North Carolina be financially supported by their parents.

 

Committee Work on Strategic Plan Priorities

 

The Child Suppory Committee is charged with the responsibility of acting as an agent of the NCACDSS and in working to achieve the mission of NCACDSS through advocacy, guidance, and implementation of goals and strategies set forth in the strategic plan. The short term goals and long range plans will aid in policy formulation, and the overall effective delivery of quality child support services in North Carolina
