Child Support Committee
Annual Report
2002-2003
The Child Support Committee met seven (7) times during the 2002-2003 year. Attendance was primarily line supervisors or local program directors representing all IV-D agencies (DSS, other local, private contract, state operated) and state child support staff. The Section Chiefs staff took and circulated minutes from the meetings.
Major issues addressed during the year included:
Federal Performance Goals;
Development of methodology for “new” incentive formula;
Development of Performance Standards data and consideration of strategy for reporting to the General Assembly;
Review of Child Support Goals of Work First;
Exposure to Federal and State Legislation pertaining to child support;
Focus on public relations strategies for promoting positive child support accomplishments;
Committee reorganization within NCACDSS new guidelines;
Automation changes including Seat Management Process.
Agendas included policy overviews by various state staff and a regular report from The Section Chief or designee.
