| Social Services Consortium Members, One of our top priorities of our legislative agenda is funding for child care subsidies. The Governor's budget supports $20 million in funding for child care which will fill the one-time money and inflationary gap, as well as, remove almost 3,000 children off the waitlist. Attached is a fact sheet supporting funding for child care subsidies. Let your legislators know that we support the $20 million that the Governor has recommended and any increase in that amount offered by the House or Senate. Let them know how important the subsidies are to the economic and social well-being of North Carolina 's children and families!!! If you are aware that your legislator is already in support of increased child care subsidies, then let them know you appreciate their on-going support and how important any additional funds would be to the amount recommended by the Governor!
