Committees
NCACDSS Committees are essential to the networking, education and ultimate work of the organization. Our volunteers dedicate their time and talents to coordinating and planning our projects, initiatives and events.
Adult Services To provide vision, input and direction in the provision of services that benefit older and disabled adults served by county departments of social services in their efforts to achieve and maintain health and social/economic well-being, to prolong independence and to maintain dignity.

Children's Services To serve as a resource to the division of Social Services for review and advocacy for appropriate, clear policy to be disseminated among the 100 county Department of Social Services in North Carolina with regards to children and families societal issues.
Co-Chairs: Karen Ellis, Cleveland County; Robby Hall, Scotland County; Cindy Holman, Alexander County
Personnel and Professional Capacity To build the professional capacity of county directors, state and local county department of social services staff and provide a statewide approach for the effective recruitment, classification and retention of all local county DSS staff. The committee will also work with the Office of State Personnel on key issues, including classification of positions, disciplinary policy, staff retention and related subject matter.

Advocacy and Issues Management To proactively represent and advocate for legislation and to provide other positive attention to matters that affect our staff and the families we serve.
